Thoughts racing, heart racing, face redder than any tomato, that's how you felt, and you knew Ludwig did too. But you were overjoyed. Ludwig had a crush on you! He didn't have a girlfriend, and he liked YOU! you were surprised that you didn't just jump up and hug him now.
"Bruder, was machst du in meinem Zimmer?[1]" You heard Ludwig ask calmly. But you knew, by the way his voice was strained, that he wanted nothing more than to strangle Gilbert. You looked at the two brothers with confused glances. What was it that Ludwig just said? "Just helping ______ decode your diary." Gilbert said with a smirk. Ludwig was red again, though you could tell now that it was mainly from anger. "Bruder, please, Leave." Ludwig pleaded, but more of ordered Gilbert to leave. "Very well, I'll leave you two love birds alone." Gilbert said teasingly. The door slammed shut after Gilbert left.
"_____, why were you in my room?" Ludwig asked, disappointment in his voice. You were going to give a simple answer, but you broke down. "I'm sorry Ludwig-I just-I was just.." He stopped you. "You were curious." Ludwig finished, looking into your (e/c) eyes. You were trapped in his blue gaze, and at the moment you wanted nothing more than to embrace his smooth skin and kiss him. But you didn't, instead, feeling ashamed, you looked down at your toes. "Yeah, I guess." Ludwig smiled, noticing your reaction. "It's ok _____, no need to be upset." he pulled your chin up to meet his eyes again. "Nothing you say or do can ever make me mad at you." Ludwig murmured.
"L-Ludwig." You said after a moment. "Yes ______?" You looked at your hands. "Ich mag dich auch." You said, using your best German. You had learned those words while you were in the hospital.
You sat, looking at the book Ludwig had brought for you. "Ludwig, thank you for keeping me company." you said finally picking your head up from your book. Ludwig looked up from his laptop, it was obvious he was doing work. "huh? Oh, it's no problem ____." He said with a smile that made you sigh. "Ludwig-You know you don't have to do this, I know you're busy with work and all that..." You said closing your book, and rubbing your arms slightly. "Oh, it's no trouble at all _____ I enjoy your company." You brightened up. "I like you Ludwig, your cool." You murmured, opening your book back up. "Ich mag dich auch." The blonde German replied with a smiled, which earned him a confused look. he laughed slightly. "I said I like you too." He chuckled, closing his laptop and standing up, and ruffling your (h/c) hair. "It's time for me to go. I'll be back tomorrow though." It was always the same. You always felt disappointment whenever he said that, but disappointment would slowly turn into excitement for his next visit.
That was teh day your liking for the German man grew.
Ludwig seemed truly surprised that you had remembered what he had said. "Ah, but _______, I don't like you. "Ich liebe dich." And before you could ask what 'Ich Liebe Dich' meant. The blonde, not even fully dressed, german leaned down and kissed your lips, and then whispered in your ears. "I love you."
