You watched as dusty blonde male walked in front of you. "Here ya go _____!" He said in his normal cheerful tone, n his hand was a flag. One that you always recognized. "Papa, what's this for?" You asked, waving the flag back and forth, watching as the stars and stripes waved. "____!" Your father gasped. "You don't know what day it is?" He questioned, instantly grabbing the nearest calendar he could find, which he regretted as realizing it was one of Francis's nude calendars. "Erm...Let's not look at this one." America said, pushing that calendar aside, and grabbing another one. "Today is July 4th." Your father said pointing to the date. On it there was a birthday cake sticker. "Oh-who's birthday is it?" You asked, looking back up at your blue eyed father. "Ha! You crack me up, _______, it's mine!" The cheerful man said, picking you up and twirling you around, making you giggle. "Oh, then happy birthday daddy!" You said, as he put you down. "Alright, now let me finish putting these decorations up, before Uncle Arthur arrives, last time he got on my case about not being prepared." He said, walking over to the closet and taking out the rest of the decorations. "Oh! Oh! Can I help?" you pleaded, your father looked down at you. "Ok, do you think you can set the picnic table outside with these napkins and plates?" He asked, showing you a box filled with plates and napkins, you nodded eagerly. Taking the napkins and plates outside.
After finishing you heard some yelling out front. "WHO INVITED THE BLOODY FROG?!" You giggled, realizing it was your uncle. You ran towards the front yard, only to see Francis and your Uncle Arthur arguing. "Uncle Arthur!" You shouted in delight, giving you him a hug. "Hello _____, my you've gotten big!" Arthur said with a smile, ruffling your hair. "I helped daddy with the decorations today!" You said, grabbing his hand and pulling him towards the backyard. "See!" You showed him how neatly you had set the plates and napkins. "My, well you certainly don't get that from your father." Arthur said, turning only to see France staring at you. "WHY DON'T YOU GO STARE AT A FROG YOU BLOODY PERVERT!" Arthur said, making you turn around to look at Francis. "What?" You asked, totally lost as to what the argument was about this time. "Hey! _____! Is Matthew here yet? I have to return his snow blower!" Your father called from back door. "No I do-" You were cut off by a small voice. "No..I'm here..." Matthew said, walking towards the door. "Good to see ya!" Your father greeted him.
Soon the rest of the guest arrived and the food was served. After dinner, Ivan brought out a cake. "I made a cake for you, you like cake, da?" He asked your father. "Does it have Vodka in it?" Your father asked suspiciously. "No...I was told not to add Vodka to the cake..But it still taste good." The Russian said disappointingly. "Oh, in that case, let's have cake everyone!" Your father shouted, running in to get a knife.
Right before he cut the cake you heard everyone shout. "Happy Birthday Alfred!" But you didn't, you waited until they were all silent.
"Happy Fourth of July, papa!"
